Key skills and capabilities required for a Release Train Engineer (RTE) to successfully deliver the Initiative:

• Proven experience running initiatives in a SAFe or scaled agile environment.
• Strong facilitation of PI Planning and cross-team coordination.
• Ability to manage dependencies and risks across multiple workstreams (Use Cases, Landing Zone, CoE, In-flight Workloads).
• Skilled in using agile tooling (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jira Align) for planning and tracking.
• Excellent servant leadership, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Skilled in cross-functional coordination across business, IT, risk, and supplier teams.
• Experience engaging with external partners (e.g. Microsoft) to align on delivery plans and support models.
• Ability to support the setup and operationalisation of a Centre of Excellence (CoE).
• Strong communication and change leadership to drive adoption of MS Foundry platform and practices.
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks (e.g. Responsible AI, data privacy).
• Ability to embed “governance-before-scale” principles into delivery workflows.
• Experience working with security, compliance, and audit teams to ensure production readiness.
• Familiarity with AI risk controls (e.g. human-in-the-loop, model evaluation, data labelling).
• Solid working knowledge of Azure Cloud architecture, including:
  • Azure networking, identity (Entra ID), and security controls.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Azure AI services: e.g. Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Foundry platform components:
  • Foundry Control Plane, Model Router, Agent Service, and Foundry IQ.
  • Understanding of how Foundry supports agentic AI and multi-model orchestration.
• Experience coordinating technical delivery of AI/ML solutions on Azure is highly advantageous.
